Little One Music is designed for an exciting stage of development when babies are becoming increasingly active, curious, expressive, and interactive with the world around them.
As little ones begin crawling, standing, cruising, taking first steps, clapping, pointing, vocalizing, and imitating, music provides a wonderful way to engage these emerging abilities. Through singing, bouncing, movement, rhythm, repetition, musical games, and hands-on instrument exploration, children experience music with their voices, ears, hands, and whole bodies.
Grown-ups participate alongside their children, helping them respond to musical cues, imitate sounds and movements, anticipate familiar songs, explore cause and effect, and begin making their own musical choices.
Activities are designed to support coordination, listening, rhythm, imitation, early communication, social interaction, and body awareness, while nurturing the natural curiosity and enthusiasm that emerge so strongly at this age.
Children also have opportunities to explore instruments independently, interact with other little ones, and experience the excitement of making sounds and music as part of a group.
Why Active Music-Making Matters: Research from the University of Washington found that babies who participated in active musical play involving rhythm showed stronger brain responses to changes in rhythmic patterns in both music and speech. At an age when babies are rapidly learning to recognize patterns, imitate, move, and communicate, actively experiencing rhythm through singing and movement can engage developing systems that help them make sense of the sounds around them.

Piano Lessons
Piano opens the door to a wonderful world of musical expression and personal growth. At Crescendo Music Studios, we love watching students discover their ability to read music, develop beautiful technique, and share their unique musical voice. For our youngest learners ages 5 and up, we welcome parents to stay and be part of the musical journey.
The parents presence during the lesson can help the little ones feel secure and confident, while also giving families the tools to make practice time at home enjoyable and successful.

During your special first visit, the instructor will take time to get to know your child - their personality, how they like to learn, and what excites them about music.We’ll gently explore their current abilities and begin building a foundation for musical joy.
